🛠 Staking Progress
The process behind your stakes on Birdeye Plus
Staking Progress
When you stake SOL, your tokens remain in your wallet in a staked state. Solana's delegation mechanism locks your SOL, meaning it cannot be moved or transferred during the staking period.
A staking account is created specifically for your delegation. This account keeps track of how much you have staked to Birdeye Plus Validator, and any rewards earned.
Stake more SOL to an existing Stake Account
You can stake more SOL to an existing Stake Account by sending/transferring the token from your wallet to the stake account address. Birdeye Plus is showing the stake account address in each stake account.

A note is that any new SOL sent will not be delegated automatically; it will need to go through the next delegation cycle to start earning rewards.
Unstaking Progress
You initiate the unstaking process by issuing an unstake (deactivate) request through Birdeye Plus. This action will change your staking account status from “active” to “deactivating” - that temporarily locks your tokens and removes your voting power from the validator.
Once the deactivation period has ended, your staking account will change to “inactive”. At this point, the inactive SOL amount will no longer generate rewards and can be withdrawn.
Staking Status
If you delegate your SOL to Birdeye Plus Validator, your stake will go through various states, such as activating, active, deactivating, and inactive (deactivated), which follow the Delegation Timing Considerations on Solana.
