Staking rewards are earned when you delegate your SOL tokens to Birdeye Plus Validator. These rewards are generated through the Solana network's proof-of-stake mechanism, which incentivizes validators and delegators to contribute to the network's security and decentralization.

When Will You Start Earning Rewards?

Once your stake is activated (after the activation period is completed, which is expected at the new epoch boundary), you’ll start earning rewards.

Rewards are distributed automatically at the end of each epoch (~2 days).

How Are Rewards Calculated?

Rewards are proportional to your stake relative to the total stake delegated to the validator. After the validator’s commission fee is deducted, the remaining rewards are distributed to delegators.

Staking yield is shown as an annual rate but can vary each epoch due to changes in the inflation rate and total active stake. The validators typically have their staking yield reflected in their APY stat.

• Number of Epochs in a Year: ~182.5 (365 ÷ 2).

Calculate Total Annual Rewards for the Validator

• Annual Rewards = Total Stake on Validator × APY = 10,000 SOL × 0.06 = 600 SOL

Calculate Validator Rewards Per Epoch

• Epoch Rewards = Number of Epochs in a Year / Annual Rewards = 600 SOL / 182.5 = ~3.29 SOL

Calculate Your Share of Rewards

• Your Share of Rewards = Epoch Rewards × (Your Staked Amount / Total Stake on Validator) = 3.29 SOL x (100 / 10,000) = 0.0329 SOL

Your net rewards

• Net Rewards = Your Share of Rewards − (Your Share of Rewards × Validator Commission Rate) = 0.0329 SOL − (0.0329 × 0%) = 0.0329 SOL
